Scott Credit Union
Chief Information Officer |
Eric Ham is the CIO of Scott Credit Union, a $1.2 billion in assets financial institution headquartered in the St. Louis region. Eric has worked in the credit union movement for over 14 years and IT for over twenty. Initially starting as a programmer, he later moved into management with a focus on infrastructure and data center management. Having the entrepreneur bug since an early age, he has had the opportunity to work with both startups and established companies over those twenty years.
Going beyond just seeing the problem but doing something about it is what keeps him going. While needing faster internet in his small town of 10K, he worked with an industry friend and built a wireless ISP in 2014 that is still in operation today and serving over 450 households. In 2016, his idea on collaborative development and cooperative project funding won him one of four investment spots in the 1st business accelerator cohort at Southwest Missouri's eFactory. When not working at the startup company, he served as President of Managed Financial Networks, a technology credit union service organization (CUSO) until 2017. After 12 years of running MFN CUSO and supporting credit unions from the back office, it was time for a new adventure and he now works directly for a credit union helping them serve their members and setting their strategic technical future. |
